Immunization Clinic
The Free Immunization Program, provided by the City of Paterson, provides free vaccines to Hawthorne’s school-aged children in need of immunizations who qualify. For more information, please view an immunization clinic informational brochure (PDF).
Health Screen III Blood Profile
The Health Screen III Blood Profile (formerly known as SMAC) will be offered in September (date to be determined) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Municipal Courtroom. This screening will include a:
- Chemistry 23
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Lipid Profile
- Thyroxine (T4)
Add on tests will be available the day of the screening for an additional fee. Pre-registration begins in August in the Health Office on the second floor in the Municipal Building. A fee will be charged day of.
Hypertension Clinic
The Hypertension Clinic is available by appointment only, please call 973-427-5555, ext. 264 to schedule. It is open to all residents. A health history is obtained during the visit, patient education and referrals are provided as needed.
Flu Clinic
Hawthorne residents age 65 and older and those who are at high or moderate risk due to a chronic condition are eligible to receive the free flu vaccine. Forms for 2020 Flu Vaccination can be picked up in the lobby of Borough Hall as of October 5, 2020. Senior citizens age 65 and older must submit their Medicare numbers upon registration. Flu shots will be administered on October 23, 2020 from 9am until 11am.
Rabies Clinic
Regrettably due to the COVID-19 pandemic and concerns about social distancing at the event, the free rabies clinic that was rescheduled to Tuesday, August 25 has been cancelled.
