Health Screen III Blood Profile
The Health Screen III Blood Profile (formerly known as SMAC) will be offered in September (date to be determined) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Municipal Courtroom. This screening will include a:
- Chemistry 23
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Lipid Profile
- Thyroxine (T4)
Add on tests will be available the day of the screening for an additional fee. Pre-registration begins in August in the Health Office on the second floor in the Municipal Building. A fee will be charged day of.
The Hypertension Clinic is available by appointment only, please call 973-427-5555, ext. 264 to schedule. It is open to all residents. A health history is obtained during the visit, patient education and referrals are provided as needed.
Hawthorne residents age 65 and older and those who are at high or moderate risk due to a chronic condition are eligible to receive the free flu vaccine. Senior citizens age 65 and older must submit their Medicare numbers upon registration. Flu shots will be administered in the Fall.
Free rabies vaccinations are given the second Tuesday in May, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at:
