Elections play an important part in the life of the Hawthorne community. The Municipal Clerk serves as the Election Official.  Three elections are held each year - the Primary Election is held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in June, the General Election is held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November and the School Board Election is always held on the third Tuesday in April. Click here for information on registering to vote.

New this year is the Presidential Primary.  This will only be held every four years on the first Tuesday, following the first Monday in February.  For 2008 the date will be February 5th.
