Housing Rehabilitation Program

 The County of Passaic is now offering the Passaic County Housing Rehabilitation Program to owner-occupied single-family homeowners, located in communities participating in the Passaic County Community Development Block Grant Program, that meet the income restrictions established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  . The Passaic County Small Cities Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to assist low and moderate income homeowners to correct interior and exterior code violations in their homes.

 The program will assist low-income homeowners to address immediate and critical housing rehabilitation problems to ensure the safe and continued occupancy of the property.

The Passaic County Housing Rehabilitation Program will provide a forgivable loan of up to $7,500 for necessary improvements such as roof replacement or heating repairs.  The program also requires that recipients comply with all municipal building codes, including municipal permits and inspections.
