Hawthorne Municipal Pool

- Completed forms and payment should be returned to the Pool during operating hours. Applications will not be accepted at Borough Hall.
- Pool membership is available to residents of Hawthorne and North Haledon only
- Discounted rates are available for membership registration after August 1st
- Discounted rates for returning members only are in effect before May 1 each year. Sign up for Pool Nixle to receive notification.
- Residents of Hawthorne and North Haledon may only purchase day passes at the pool
- The rate is $20 per day, but half price after 4:30 pm.
- Residents with annual memberships only may purchase both daily and seasonal guest passes for non-residents
- Rate is $20 for weekdays and $25 for weekends and holidays, with half price after 4:30 pm.
- Membership holder must accompany the guest during the entire time the guest is at the pool, and is responsible for the guest's conduct
- A resident day pass holder may not bring a non-resident guest
Regular Season (open daily beginning Saturday, June 21, 2025):
- Weekdays
11 am to 8 pm
(Adult Swim - 10 am to 11 am) - Saturday and Sunday
11 am to 8 pm
The above hours are for the pool facility. Patrons will be requested/expect to leave the water 15 minutes before closing.

Pool membership and day passes are available only to current residents of Hawthorne and North Haledon
Before receiving a pool badge or a day pass, suitable documentation of residency must be provided:
- Two proofs of residency for each family member listed on the application or applying for a day pass. One proof of residency must be a photo ID or a government-issued ID
- A second proof of residency must show each family member living at the address listed on the application.
- Pool management reserves the right to require additional proof of residency. For more information, see the Pool Rules.
Members (not day pass holders) may sponsor guest passes for non-residents.
The pool is operated in compliance with all regulations in the New Jersey Bathing Code.
Water is tested regularly in accordance with the Bathing Code and must meet the standards prescribed therein.
Sign up for the Pool Nixle group to receive notices about registration, closures, and events by testing "HAWTHPOOL" to 888777. Note that this is separate from the Borough's general Nixle group.
Rules
By using the pool, all patrons agree to follow the adopted Pool Rules and should familiarize themselves with the provisions. Failure to follow the pools may result in suspension of pool privileges. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
Management
Management shall have the authority to prohibit any action or conduct which they may consider to be dangerous, improper, or in violation of the Pool Rules, and may expel or suspend the privileges otherwise granted to the holders of admission badges or their guests. Hawthorne Code 360-10
Patrons who are unable to pass a swim test when directed by the staff are limited to the shallow end of the pool and may not use the slide or the diving board
The use of any flotation devices are prohibited
- Children who are not potty-trained are prohibited from using the main pool.
- Wearing swim diapers in the main pool is prohibited.
