Formation

Chapter 45 of the Code of the Borough of Hawthorne establishes the Board of Health as an advisory body. It is not a separate and autonomous board as described by NJ.SA. 26-3-1. The Board consists of nine members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council to four-year overlapping terms.
