Residents may have up to two garage sales in a calendar year with each sale being no more than three consecutive days. The fee is $5 for the first sale, and $10 for the second. The application is made to the Borough Clerk’s Office. Residents holding garage sales must adhere to the following rules:
Garage sales shall be conducted only between the hours of 9:00 am and sundown.
Temporary signs are permitted only one (1) day before and on the days of the sale.
No temporary signs are permitted on public property, including trees, utility poles, and street or traffic signs.
No more than six (6) temporary signs advertising a given sale are permitted, and no sign shall be more than four (4) square feet in size.
NOTE: If you choose to cancel your garage sale due to inclement weather, you must contact the Clerk’s office the following Monday to reschedule providing ALL days were canceled. Any day used will count as a sale.
